Position Summary: The Chief Accountant will oversee the financial operations of Fidelity Core Solutions, ensuring compliance with government regulations, financial reporting standards, and company policies. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, extensive knowledge of government contracting, and the ability to lead a team of accounting professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the accounting department, including payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Oversee compliance with government regulations, including Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS).
  • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Coordinate audits and prepare audit schedules for external auditors.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial projections.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Extensive knowledge of government contracting, including FAR and CAS.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
